Most watches tell you the hour. This one also tells you where the moon is.

A 40mm polished steel case carries a dial with three sub-registers and an engraved tachymeter track around the rim. In the right-hand register, a small aperture shows a painted moon crossing a night sky — the one part of the dial with nothing to do with efficiency. The woven nylon strap keeps the whole watch at 83 grams: light enough to forget on the wrist, sturdy enough to leave on all weekend.

The Oldest Clock There Is

Before there were hours, there was the moon. Sailors timed crossings by it and farmers planted by it, and for centuries a moon phase display was how a watchmaker showed his hand. It is the rare complication that measures something nobody needs to know on a Tuesday.

Which is the point. The Lunario spends most of its dial on legibility — bold Arabic numerals, a date window, sub-registers you can read at a glance — and then gives one small opening over to something worth looking at instead.

How to Wear It

The nylon strap sets the register: this is a weekend watch first. Green with olive and raw denim, blue with grey and white, black with whatever is already in the closet. Under a jacket sleeve it reads as restrained. Over a rolled shirt cuff it reads as deliberate.
